“I like Lemonade Day.  It’s a great day for the kids, it’s a great day for the city.  These young people are our future and we have to invest in them.”

“Lemonade Day was a fantastic experience for my entire family. My children learned important, hands-on skills about running a business and giving back to their community. Babson College did a great job providing the tools to help make this a fun and rewarding experience. We can’t wait to do it again next year!”

“After participating in Lemonade Day, our Achievers have been thinking about their future goals and what they want to be when they grow up. Their Mentors have continued to have discussions regarding supporting academic progress for future goals. The Achievers’ goals and objectives are targeted towards developing social/emotional skills and Lemonade Day was a great exercise in enhancing and practicing those skills.”

“Mariana and I had a wonderful day, and can’t wait to participate in Lemonade Day again next year. My favorite part was watching her learn, and really begin to put things together and understand all of the pieces involved in running a business. I also think community involvement is very important. It was so wonderful to see how excited she got every time someone came up to buy lemonade, especially one of her school teachers who visited the stand because of a flyer she gave to him. It was like watching her realize that she is important. Mariana chose to donate most of her earnings to Children’s Hospital in Boston, and we delivered the money in person, because I wanted her to experience firsthand how rewarding giving to others can be.”
